The game starts with a few diamonds on the board. You can move the pieces on the board by clicking on one diamond and then the other diamond that the pieces should switch places with.

Luxor is a single-player, puzzle game. It is played with a grid of squares, with a jewel located in the center. You are given a set of gems which you can place on the empty square. The goal of the game is to match 2 gems of the same color, vertically or horizontally. The game starts with a timer in the top left hand corner in which you have to match the gems in the grid. The game is over when the timer has run out or when you have matched 3 or more gems of the same color.
